No — the website is one part of it. ChapelDesk is church management software with the website included, and it also covers the member and family directory, automated birthday and anniversary wishes, event reminder emails to the congregation, online giving with printable QR codes, payment requests a family pays by card, church finance with expenses, reimbursements and giving statements, a member portal, a parish shop for harvest and bake sales, role-based access for staff and volunteers, and cookie-free website analytics. Most churches would otherwise pay for a website builder, a church management system, a giving platform, an email tool and an analytics tool separately, and re-type the same member list into each.

Yes, in three ways, all on the church's own Stripe account so the money goes straight to the church. A giving page lets someone choose an amount and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you can print a QR code for the pew that attributes gifts to it. A payment request asks one family for a specific amount — dues, a hall booking — and emails them a link they pay from a phone. And the parish shop sells items with photos, a price and a stock count, for a harvest sale, a bake sale or the cookbook table. Gifts and paid requests post to the church's contribution ledger, which is what a year-end giving statement is built from; shop orders stay separate, as sales rather than giving.

Every new church gets a 30-day free trial with the full feature set. A card is collected at sign-up so the trial converts without interrupting your site, and you can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.

Yes. Your site is live immediately at yourchurch.chapeldesk.com, and you can connect your own domain from Settings. ChapelDesk provisions the SSL certificate automatically, so your site is secure at your own address without any certificate work on your side.

Yes. ChapelDesk is denomination-agnostic and is used by Malankara Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant congregations. Nothing about the content structure is fixed: you write your own about page, name your own ministries, and organise the site the way your congregation actually works. Malayalam and other non-Latin scripts render correctly throughout, including in uploaded service books.

When you add members to the ChapelDesk directory you can store their birthday and wedding anniversary. Each morning ChapelDesk emails a personalised greeting to every member with a celebration that day. You choose the template, and any member can opt out.

Yes. ChapelDesk includes a member portal. A church can issue portal access per member, and those members sign in to view the finance documents published to them, ask a question on a statement and submit reimbursement requests. Giving is tracked per household, so a spouse sees the family's record rather than an empty one.

Yes. ChapelDesk offers an assisted migration as a one-time $299 service, whatever your current site is built on — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or a site a volunteer built years ago. The ChapelDesk team rebuilds your existing pages, photo galleries, events and posts in your new site, imports your member list, and moves your domain across with SSL, and your old site stays online until you approve the new one. You own your data. You can export your full member directory as a CSV file at any time from the ChapelDesk admin dashboard. After cancellation your data is retained for 30 days so you can recover it, then permanently deleted. ChapelDesk never sells a congregation's data.
